Happy Landings ABC 3252, is an American Bashkir Curly by WCC Benjamin ABC 2770, out of DCC Wyoming Gold ABVC 2486. Born 09.14.03, Happy Landings is a brown over mare. Hanako, which is Japanese for Little Flower, is her barn name.
Lynn Downer of Canada, owner of both the sire and dam, bred Hanako. Wyoming Gold is a 1996 Buckskin pinto curly mare bred by Nan Bell of Moran, Wyoming. Benjamin is a black rabicano stallion.
Hanako has one offspring by Extreme Gold, a palomino Thoroughbred. The filly Tampa Gold was born 05.17.2015.
In 2005, Hanako ranked ABCR Res. Champ. In-Hand, a testimony to her near perfect confirmation as well as her compliant, friendly nature and trainability. In 2009, she participated in the Manassas, Virginia Christmas Parade. Well recovered from a 2011 styfle injury, she has been in full-time combined training since mid-2014. In the spring of 2017, she tried entry level cross country at Eventful Acres. She continues to progress at the cross country intro level, practicing at Woodside Horse Park, and also competes at first level dressage in rated shows. Hanako trail rides and is a good companion for young horses. Hanako is worth her weight in gold as a lesson horse from young children riding lead line to intermediate level adult riders.
