Tampa Gold

A 2015 cross between a Bashkir Curly named Happy Landings (ABCR), aka Hanako, and the small thoroughbred Extreme Gold (Tb), aka Romeo, resulted in the filly Tampa Gold. A future sales horse currently being gentled and going under saddle, Tampa Gold resembles her dam, an extreme curly. Tampa Gold has a dark bay coat that is silky and slightly wavy; outrageously thick and long black mane and tail; and, four black stockings and a small lightning bolt blaze. She will likely mature to cob size, like her mother who is 15.2 hands. The filly’s lovely coloring may be attributable to her dam, but her pretty head and refined appearance come from the sire. The lightning bolt blaze inspired her name. Tampa means lightning in the language of the Tampa Bay, Florida indigenous people. Lightning strikes Tampa more than any other place in the US.

Socialized from day one, Tampa Gold leads, trailer loads, stands for the farrier and vet, bathes and grooms with no fuss.
